Whalers Hand the Aces a Loss in Port Colborne in GMHL Action

Playing their second game on home ice at the Vale Centre in Port Colborne, Ontario on September 23rd and coming off a 8 – 1 win on September 22nd in Tillsonburg over the Hurricanes, the Niagara Whalers took on the expansion Windsor Aces in Greater Metro Hockey League action.

Jesse Masterson leads the Whalers with one goal and four assists in Niagara’s 8 – 3 win while
Patrick Desjardin and Nick Pastorious had four points each for the hosts with Desjardin sinking two along with contributing on two. Pastorious scored one and had three helpers for Niagara. Jakob Reeves and David Christopher both had one goal and two assists for the Whalers. Niagara’s John Swiatek found the back of the Aces net for one with adding one contributor for the Whalers. Contributing on a goal each were Niagara’s Frolov Mikhail and Kellan Rosenbaum on Saturday evening. Erik Johansson sunk one in the Whalers dominating win in Port Colborne. Will Harvey stopped 25 of 28 in the Whalers second win of the 2017 – 2018 season.

The Whalers next opponents will be the London Lakers on September 29th at the Vale Centre in a 7:30 p.m start.
