Watch the GMHL Steam Take On the Whalers in Tottenham Online…

Tottenham SteamThe first place (29 – 4) Tottenham Steam head into Saturday January 17th game against the 10th place (20 – 14 – 2) expansion Niagara Whalers at the Tottenham Community Centre for a 7:30 p.m start.

The Steam have three players in the top ten of the scoring race in the GMHL with Fredinando Collela with 27 goals and 70 assists in 32 games for first spot in scoring with Brandon Gaudette holding down seventh position with 78 points in 27 regular games as well as Tottenham’s Braden Kavaratzis rounding the Steam in the top 10 with Kavaratzis sinking 40 goals and adding 33 assists in 24 games with Tottenham.

Sault Ste Marie, Ontario native Braedan Turco of the Niagara Whalers has seen 1046 minutes of action in 19 games. Turco’s record is 10 – 7 heading into the game on Saturday. The first year GMHL goaltender has a goals against average 4.02 and a saves percentage of 0.891 along with two shutouts.

Whaler Braedan Turco told the Junior Hockey Network “we have to play as a team and not get into penalty trouble, the guys need to get shots and worry about defense first.”
