Spring/Summer Hockey with Ramsay Hockey/GMHL Renegades

The Greater Metro Hockey League’s North York Renegades are offering three off – season hockey options to prepare for the upcoming 2017 – 2018 GMHL season with Tuesday Night Elite Skates, Niagara Bauer Hockey Challenge and the Junior Showcase Tournament.

Tuesday Night Elite Skate
April 16th – June 13th
5:15 p.m – 6:15 p.m

  • nine skates at North York Canlan
  • high – intensity flow drills with speed, agility and stick handling
  • individual skill training
  • all skates ran by Renegade coach Ryan Ramsay

Niagara Bauer Hockey Challenge
April 28th – April 30th

  • ages 1996 – 2001
  • spring tournament in Niagara Falls/St. Catharines
  • the most heavily scouted spring tournament by junior ‘A’ coaches, NCAA and OHL coaches
  • all teams are coached by Renegade coach Ryan Ramsay
  • we provide a program with player bios for scouts, jerseys and socks provided
  • we play to win but equal ice time is offered by every player

Junior Showcase Tournament
June 16th – June 18th

  • ages 1996 – 2001
  • summer tournament at Brampton Powerade Centre
  • heavily scouted spring tournament by junior ‘A’ coaches, NCAA and OHL coaches
  • all teams coached by North York coach Ryan Ramsay
  • we play to win but equal ice time is offered by every player

Total Cost – $ 750.00 + HST

About Coach Ryan Ramsay
A native of Pickering, Ontario. Ryan was a Greater Toronto Hockey League standout before being slected by the OHL Peterborough Petes in the first round 13th overall. Ryan was also fortunate enough to represent Ontario at the World U17 Hockey Tournament.

After spending time in Peteborough, Kitchener and Plymouth in the OHL, Ryan signed a three year contract with the NHL St. Louis Blues. During his professional career, Ramsay spent three seasons in the American Hockey League and seven seasons in the Germany First Hockey League’s DEL as well as one more season in the Serie ‘A’ Italian League.

Since retiring, Ryan has provided development opportunities for aspiring players in the GTA. In the 2016 – 2017, the Pickering, Ontario native was awarded with the Greater Metro Hockey League’s south division Coach of the Year with the North York Renegades.
