Thief River Falls, Minnesota based Norskies sit atop of the northwestern Ontario based Superior International Junior Hockey League with 12 points just one point ahead of the 2016 – 2017 SIJHL Bill Salonen Champions, the Dryden Ice Dogs heading into week three of the 2017 – 2018 season.

The Thunder Bay North Stars, Fort Frances Lakers and Minnesota Iron Rangers hold down third, fourth and fifth with only two points separating these three teams.
