SIJHL Lakers Add Forward Zach Pierce to 2017/18 Lineup

With their second commitment of the week, the Superior International Junior Hockey League’s Fort Frances Lakers have added Mechanicsville, Virginia native Zach Pierce to their 2017 – 2018 line – up.

The 20 year old forward played the last two seasons for the USPHL Elite Richmond Generals where the 1997 birth year forward sank eight goals and eleven assists in 62 regular season games from 2015 – 2017 along with tallying 49 minutes in penalties. In eight post – season match – ups with the Generals, the 6’0” and 185 lbs Pierce added two goals and one more assists to his totals with Richmond.

“Zach is a big bodied player who plays both ends of the rink hard. He has an extremely high compete level which makes him tough to play against. We will also look for him to add secondary scoring to the line up and be a strong penalty kill player. We are pleased to have Zach joining our program” said Laker coach Wayne Strachan.
