Albertville, Minnesota native Brandon Zajicek of the Superior International Junior Hockey League’s Fort Frances will be headed to Milton, Massachusetts for the fall of 2017 to join the Curry College Colonels in of the NCAA DIII ECAC Northeast Conference.
Blueliner Zajicek played with the Lakers from 2015 – 2017 in 74 regular season games where the 5’11” and 195 lbs defenseman sunk 11 goals and had 39 assists along with tallying 50 minutes in penalties. In 15 post – season games during his two seasons in Fort Frances, the Albertville, Minnesota 20 year old added two goals and seven contributors as well as spending 18 minutes in the penalty box.
Zajieck told the Junior Hockey Network that “I was really happy to commit to Curry the coach has a lot of experience and can get guys over seas. I look to add to their power play and be a key guy in their penalty kill, I think also I can bring my physical play and my passion out to Curry.”
