Laker coach Wayne Strachan told the Junior Hockey Network that “Ryan is very deserving of this commitment. He worked hard to improve his game over the two seasons he was with our hockey team. He is a class act of the ice and a leader on the ice. If he commits his time he will have a good college career.”
“I chose Gustavus because it is a great school academically, has a really top notch coaching staff and a historically strong hockey program. I will bring consistency to the blueline next season and be a guy that can be relied on at any time during the game. My past two years in Fort Frances were incredible, I met so many life long friends, made some great memories, got to develop my game under a solid coaching staff and got to win a championship. I couldn’t imagine my self being in a better place than fort Frances especially with my billets and the community that surrounds the team. I’ll always cherish my time in Fort” said Gazich.
