On February 2nd at the Keeler Centre in Colborne, Ontario, the fourth place (25-8-0-4) North York Renegades were looking for thrie first win in three games when they hit the ice against the sixth place (14-15-0-6) Northumberland Stars in a south division match – up.
Connor Ventura, David Maikawa and Nicolas Carnovale combined for a total of 12 points in the Renegades 12 – 3 win over the Stars on Friday evening in Colborne. Ventura and Maikawa had two goals and two assists each while Carnovale added four helpers in North York’s win. Chris Martin, Mark Mannarn, Jonathan Schillaci and Liam Little registered three points each with Martin scoring two goals and contributing on one goal for the Renegades. Mannarn had one goal and two assists in North York’s win. Schillaci and Little finished Friday’s game with three assists each for visitors over the Stars. Renegades Luke Di Giorgio, Troy Murray and Alexander Noble all had two points each with Di Giorgio assisting on two while Murray scored one and added a contributor with Noble finding the back of Northumberland’s net for two. Steven Santos and Joseph Gagne sank one goal a piece for North York along with Drake Bailey, Alexander Isidori, Conor Thomson and Christian Bascio adding a contributor each in North York’s 12 – 3 win. Renegade netminder Nicklaus Robinson turned away 40 of 43 shots in North York’s 26th win of the season.
The Renegades will now head to Tottenham, Ontario for a 7:30 p.m start against the ninth place (12-22-0-2) Tottenham Community & Fitness Centre on February 3rd in GMHL action.
