In a high scoring affair in London, Ontario at London Sports Park, the Lakers took on the visiting Lakers on September 23rd in Greater Metro Hockey League action.
Laker Eisai led the London with two goals and four assists in the hosts 8 – 7 shootout win on the Renegades. Matt Michelini and Dylan Lavallee both had three points for London with Lavallee scoring one and adding two helpers while Michelini registering three assists for the Lakers. Jorell Crisostomo, Quinn Gaetz and Chris Spicer each finished Saturday’s game with two points with Crisostomo and Gaetz adding two contributors each and Spicer finding the back of North York’s net twice with the shootout winner. Parker Gee, Eric Charlebois, Michael Wang and goaltender Thomas Ethier all had one point with Gee, Ethier and Charlebois assisting on one goal each with Wang sinking one goal. Ethier stopped 39 of 46 shots in the Lakers 8 – 7 win.
Connor Thomson and Conor Ventura combined for nine points in the Renegades loss with Thomson finding the back of London’s net once and contributing on four while Ventura had a hat trick and one helper for North York. Renegades Nicolas Carnovale and Nevin Guenther both scored one and notched an assist each in the visitors loss. Lukas Jura, David Maikawa and netminder Elio – Emmanuel Noce each had one helper along with Drake Bailey scoring one for the Renegades. Noce made 34 saves in the Renegades 8 – 7 shootout loss in London.
North York will return to action on September 25th in Oshawa against the River Kings in a 8:30 p.m puck drop with London heading to Port Colborne on September 29th in a 7:30 p.m start against the Whalers.
