After the shutout win, the Junior Hockey Network asked Laker coach Wayne Strachan how Fort Frances earned their first win of the season over the Nort Stars, Strachan was quoted in saying “is the biggest three things we limited our mistakes, stayed out of the penalty box and our goaltender out played theirs. I thought after the first we played a strong forty minutes of hockey.”
“Ryley had a good night he played intense, was moving his feet and scored a beauty of a goal. When Ryley plays with intensity and keeps the game simple he is very effective for us. He has a pro shot when he gets it off,” said Strachan.
