Kalkaska Rhinos USPHL Premier Goes Tuition Free for 2017/18

“The Kalkaska Rhinos have become the destination for placement in Division I Hockey,” says Owner/GM/Head Coach Krzysztof Oliwa. Oliwa, a 10-year NHL veteran and 2000 New Jersey Devils Stanley Cup Champion, is entering his 4th year in junior hockey in Kalkaska, Michigan. “As the first USPHL Premier team in the country to go tuition free, we know the value of our organization. Our program is unparalleled, we offer the most comprehensive training. But we want to make that opportunity available to all the best players. Through our academy-style curriculum, we aim to give our players the tools and exposure to ultimately achieve the highest level of college hockey possible.”

Coach Oliwa strives to build a championship team. “By eliminating the obstacle of the high tuition that has become the norm in junior hockey, we have leveled the playing field. The standard pay-to-play model is unaffordable and antiquated.”

The Kalkaska Rhinos will host their first one-day evaluation event in Detroit on June 17th, 2017. The FREE tryout will feature a scout from the NCDC Junior Bruins, with whom the Rhinos are affiliated. For more information about this event, and to pre-register, contact the Rhinos event coordinator at (231) 649-0869.
