CCHL Canadian Jeremie Forget Names Week Six Star

The Central Canada Hockey League announced Wednesday October 11th that Carleton Place Canadians goaltender Jeremie Forget has earned CCM Player of the Week honours for week six from October 2nd to 8th.

Forget, a 1997-born ‘tender from Mascouche, Quebec stopped all 46 shots he faced during the week en route to a pair of shutout victories against Smiths Falls (10/07) and Pembroke (10/08).

The uncommitted 19 year-old now leads the league in virtually every goaltending statistic: goals-against (1.44), save-% (.944), wins (9) and shutouts (2).

Honourable mentions for week six went to Hawkesbury captain David Jankowski and Nepean rookie Liam Stagg.

Jankowski, an uncommitted 20 year-old, recorded six points (1G, 5A) in a pair of Hawkesbury wins. His 17 points (7G, 10A) on the season rank him 7th in the CCHL.

Stagg, a 1999-born former Stanstead College captain, notched five points (2G, 3A) over the course of two Raiders games in week six.
